Current Research Interests: In this digital era it is very essential to enhance information and communication technology to provide better service to the tourists in the global scenario. Digital marketing for tourism is one of the major aspects of marketing in this contemporary world. Digital transformation will provide increased reach towards tourists. Online brand awareness can be mechanised with various online channels like e-marketing, SEO, SMM and social media campaigns to reach potential and new tourists. Further, digitalization can be more cost effective, much focused towards marketing and always be in touch with tourist to update and satisfy their needs. Thus, to tap with the technological updates the tourism industry should adopt digital marketing as a crucial part of success to reach their tourist satisfaction
Doctoral Research: The doctoral research was undertaken to analyse the impact of marketing mix on satisfaction of inbound tourists in selected destinations of Karnataka. The study specify certain areas of marketing mix which requires more focus and effective strategizing to attract more tourists and eventually gain more business. Tourists’ standard needs, existing competency and the relationship between marketing mix strategies and tourism sectors must all be examined. The tourism industry’s efforts to study the relationship between performance and marketing mix will be assessed. The study findings illustrate that tourists and representatives pointed out the significant influence of all marketing mix components on the satisfaction of inbound tourists. However, service providers did not completely agree with the influence of marketing complements on satisfaction. They highlighted only partial agreement with the influence of tourism products, promotional activities, people and tourism process. This finding is important for the growth of the tourism because the tourism providers have better information regarding the attitude of tourists towards the marketing strategies and its impact on the overall tourism business. Thus, more efforts to provide new insights into the existing body of knowledge of tourism in Karnataka on marketing strategies are essential.
