Organized a “Preplacement Talk”

We were much honored to have an opportunity to interact with the trainee manager Ms. Shivangi of Grand Mercure, Mysuru on 4^th of March between 11.30 a.m – 12.30 p.m in the tourism auditorium. The objective of the event was to create awareness about the opportunities in Accor properties in India and aboard, to provide an opportunity to the 2019-2020 enrolled students to participate in the “TAKE OFF” challenge competition organized by Accor.

Accor is a French multinational hospitality company that owns, manages and franchises hotels, resorts and vacation properties. The first Accor hotel opened in South Asia are Sofitel, Novotel Mercure, Ibis Styles and the first hotel opened in India was Novotel Mercure. Accor operates in 100 countries with more than 4,800 hotels and 280,000 employees worldwide.  “TAKE OFF” is a competition enables the students to be evaluated by top level Accor professionals and by various teachers with various cultural backgrounds. TAKE OFF was introduced in 2012 and Accor has been challenging students from every corner of the world with various issues connected with the group’s activities such as loyalty programs, F&B services and lifestyle brands. To participate one must be enrolled at any school of higher education(in possession of a 2020/21 student card), aged between 18 to 30 years at the time of registration, must have a passport, must be a in a team of three students attending the same school, must be available to travel to Paris from 7^th to 9^th June for final round.

The topic for the year 2020 is “Accor hotels in their communities. Let’s focus on the human aspect!”, and the question is “How can all Accor stakeholders authentically engage with their local community, either through adapting existing initiatives or by creating new projects? “. The rating criteria are project feasibility, originality, consistency with Accor strategy, aesthetic. During this challenge the students will be exposed to the real world. The reasons to participate in this challenge are:
