Entrance Examinations for Admission :
- For admission to all M.Sc, M.Com, M.A. & M.S.W. Programmes :
- Students who have completed their UG under University of Mysore :
- Should register, apply and appear for the Post Graduate Entrance Examination (PGEE) conducted by University of Mysore ( https://www.uompgadmissions.com/ , https://uni-mysore.ac.in/ )
- Students who have completed their UG under other Universities (within or outside Karnataka) :
- Should register and apply in the University of Mysore admissions portal ( https://www.uompgadmissions.com/ , https://uni-mysore.ac.in/ ). They need not appear for the PGEE conducted by University of Mysore.
- Students who have completed their UG under University of Mysore :
- For admission to MCA & MBA Programmes :
- For admission under Government Quota
- Candidates should appear in the PGCET conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority ( https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ )
- For admission under Management Quota
- Candidates should appear in either in the PGCET conducted by KEA ( https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ ) or the KMAT conducted by KPPGCA ( https://kmatindia.com/ ), or both.

Admissions
Eligibility criteria for admissions to various courses offered by SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, PG Wing are as follows:
1. MBA (Master of Business Administration)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Quota:
- Minimum 50 percent marks in any Bachelor’s Degree. (45% For SC/ST)
- Passing / Clearing in PGCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority
- Management Quota:
- Minimum 50 percent marks in any Bachelor’s Degree. (45% For SC/ST)
- Passing / Clearing KMAT (Conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) / PGCET (conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority) / CMAT (Conducted by AICTE)/ CAT / MA
2. MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates possessing a degree of University of Mysore, or of any other University, equivalent there to and complying with the eligibility criteria:
- Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree. OR Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with M.Sc. (CS) (Master of Science in Computer Science)additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University).
- Admission to MCA course shall be open for candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the Degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%.
- Provided that for admission to MCA, the candidate shall have passed Bachelor Degree with not less than 50% of marks with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Application / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives at degree level.
- Provided further that in respect of candidates who have studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first provison in the Pre-university course with 50% of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.
- However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Category-I, 45% of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.
3. M.Sc. (CS) (Master of Science in Computer Science)
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates who have passed B.Sc. with Computer Science/Computer Applications/Vocational computer Applications/Computer Maintenance/Computer Systems as an optional course/BCA with minimum 45% marks in cognate subject and should have also studied Mathematics as a major or a minor subject are eligible (relaxed to 40% of SC, ST and Category 1 Candidates). The candidates should have also studied Mathematics as a major or a minor subject in their B.Sc./BCA degree. The definition of the minimum percentage is as prescribed by the University of Mysore from time to time.
4. M.Com (Master of Commerce)
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate who has passed B.COM/BBM of University of Mysore or any other university considered as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. A relaxation of 5% is available for SC/ST and Cat I candidates.
5. M.Sc. Chemistry (Master of Science in Chemistry)
Eligibility Criteria:
B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the Major/ Optional subject, provided the candidate has studied Mathematics as one of the optional subject in the Two Year P.U.C. or equivalent.
6. M.Sc. Biotechnology (Master of Science in Biotechnology)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates with Bachelor's Degree in Science including Agricultural, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary, Dairy, Fisheries, Horticulture, Forestry from any University recognized by UGC / ICAR / AICTE / Medical Council with an aggregate of minimum 55% marks. A relaxation of 5% is available for SC / ST and Cat. – I candidate.
7. M.Sc. Microbiology (Master of Science in Microbiology)
Eligibility Criteria:
B.Sc. with Microbiology as one of the Major/ Optional subjects from University of Mysore or any other University equivalent thereto; 45% for general category and 5% relaxation for SC/ST students.
8. M.Sc. Biochemistry (Master of Science in Biochemistry)
Eligibility Criteria:
Students of Bachelors of Science degree from any UGC recognized Universities in life science subjects with Chemistry or Biochemistry as major subjects are eligible. Students from Foreign National degree will apply through equivalence committee. Minimum percentage of marks is as prescribed by the University of Mysore regulations for admission i.e. 45% for general category and 5% relaxation for SC/ST students.
9. M.Sc. Botany (Master of Science in Botany)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates possessing a B.Sc. with Botany as a Major /Optional subject and degree from UGC recognized University. Candidates applying for admission to M.Sc. Botany must be a graduate and must have obtained a minimum of 45% (40% in case of SC/ ST and Category-I candidates).
10. MSW (Master of Social Work)
Eligibility Criteria:
B.SW./B.A. with social work as an optional/B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.B.M./L.L.B. of the university recognized as equivalent are eligible for admission to M.S.W. with minimum of 45% (40% in case of SC/ST and Cat 1) of aggregate marks in all the year so qualifying examination.
Note: The order of preference shall be as follows:
- Those who have passed B.S.W.
- Those who have passed a degree with social work as one of the optional subjects.
- Those who have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.B.M./L.L.B./Degree.
11. MTTM (Master of Tourism and Travel Management)
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate seeking admissions to MTTM course must possess any bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
