The students of II semester MCA, PG Wing of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (Autonomous), PBMMEC, attended the workshop on Internet of Things and Its Applications on 9th March 2020 at Ecclesia Advanced Computer Technology, Mysuru accompanied by Smt. Rachana. C. R, Associate Professor & Head and Mr. Shivumanjesh P, Assistant Professor, DoS in Computer Science. The resource person of the workshop was Ms. Apoorva A, Centre Head, Ecclesia ACT. The Workshop commenced at 10:30am with the brief introduction of IoT and its History. Ms. Apoorva spoke about the elements, hardware, middleware components, sensors, Connectivity, data processing, user interface, all with respect to IoT.
Post Tea break, the architecture of the Arduino Uno, various models of Arduino was explained along with physical demonstration of bread board connections and glowing of LED for various instances and intensity. Various topics such as how IR works, Pulse Width Modulation, Potentiometer operation, Ultrasonic Sensor Operation, Bluetooth HC-05, NPN BJT Transistor operation, Step down convertor was explained. In the post-lunch session, real time scenario of automatic door opening and closing was explained group-wise along with source code. The workshop concluded at 4:00pm.
