One day Workshop on Angular Web Application Development

The Department of Studies in Computer Science, SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (PG Wing), Mysuru organized One Day Workshop on Application Development’ on 3rd April 2023.

The aim of this workshop was to provide real time exposure to students and gain practical knowledge with improved hands-on experience on Angular. Around 28 Students participated in the workshop training which was inaugurated on 3rd April 2023. Smt. Yashaswini J, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Science welcomed the resource persons Mr. Prahasan P and Mr. Skanda from TechBitz software solutions (OPC) Pvt. Ltd, Mysuru and the participants. She briefed about the expertise of the resource persons in Angular along with the objectives of the workshop to the participants.

Mrs. Rachana C R, Associate Professor & Head, Dept. of Studies in Computer Science was instrumental in organizing the workshop. This workshop was organized keeping in mind the importance of Angular knowledge for the Computer Science students and its relevance in the industries.

As an outcome, this workshop also helped in bringing to light the practical skills which was already present in a few of the students of first semester MCA.

Mr.Prahasan P along with Mr.Skanda, TechBitz software solutions (OPC) Pvt.Ltd Mysuru started the session with the basics of Web Application. They shared a detailed explanation about the Angular which is a JavaScript-based open-source front-end web framework mainly maintained by Google and by a community of individuals and corporations to address many of the challenges encountered in developing single-page applications. Followed by the concept of web application, Key components of web app, Request and Response flow, implementation of CSS Angular JS modules were discussed.

Hands-on sessions were conducted to the students on developing a web page application using JSON objects. In the post lunch session, the basics of AngularJS 1.6 and its core features, pros and cons of AngularJS have been discussed by the resource persons. Resource persons emphasized the students to conceptualize their ideas with AngularJS will help them by simplifying the process of including native JavaScript which is very crude in nature. It is a very easy framework to learn and has a lot of applications. Students were given exposures about the real time demand about AngularJS in the present scenario, because many companies use AngularJS framework for their websites therefore it has a lot of job opportunities as well. Students were actively participated in the workshop in order to solve the hands on problems provided to them using the concepts of AngularJS. Faculty members of the Dept. of Computer Science were present during this workshop. The Faculty Coordinator Smt. Yashaswini J, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Science delivered the vote of thanks. She thanked the HoD, The Director, the Staff and the Resource persons and all the participants of the workshop. All the participants shared their feedback at the end of the workshop.
