BASELINE HOUSE HOLD SURVEY REPORT IN ADOPTED VILLAGES UNDER UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN

BACK GROUND:

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is the Flagship program of MHRD. It links Higher Education Institutions with a set of at least 5 villages as a participatory Institution. These institutions can contribute to the economic and social betterment of the villages adopted by them. To bring transformation in rural development processes by leveraging educational institutions to help build the architecture of an “Inclusive India”.

UBA Project Objectives

Vision: Unnat Bharat Abhiyan aims at integrated rural development models to be initiated by higher education institutions with the help of local governance and communities.

Mission: The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural and tribal people in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions.

Goals of UBA

  1. To build an understanding of the development a agenda within institutes of Higher Education and an institutional capacity and training relevant to national needs, especially those of rural India.
  2. To re-emphasize the need for field work, stake-holder interactions and design for societal objectives as the basis of higher education.
  3. To stress on rigorous reporting and useful outputs as central to developing new professions.
  4. To provide rural India and regional agencies with access to the professional resources of the institute education, especially those that have acquired academic excellence in the field of science, engineering and technology, and management.
  5. To improve development outcomes as a consequence of this research. To develop new professions and new processes to sustain and absorb the outcomes of research. 6. To foster a new dialogue within the larger community on science, society and the environment and to develop a sense of dignity and collective destiny.

SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, as a participatory Institution has adopted following five villages to conduct Village Survey

  • Varuna
  • Pillalli
  • Ayarahalli
  • Mosanabayanahalli
  • Kiralu

The team of One UBA coordinator, two NSS Programme officer, 50 NSS volunteers and 5 Social work Trainees visited five adopted villages and conducted Baseline Household survey in all villages from 30.11.2021 to 2.11.2021.This report consists of details of village cluster information as well as remark of village.

The following report will gives only brief details regarding the Baseline Household survey conducted at Adoptive villages and images, the information in this report is prepared on the basis of information given by village authority and observation by visited team. Detailed report of the severely will be submitted soon after the data analysis and interpretation is completed.

Preliminary visit to Varuna, Pillalli, Ayarahalli, Mosambayanahalli, Kiralu before conducting household survey

G, NSS programme Officer, Mr. Siddaraju C S, NSS programme Officer, Visited Varuna, Pillalli, Ayarahalli, Mosambayanahalli, Kiralu as a preliminary visit to adoptive villages before conducting baseline household survey programme & interacted with Village Panchayath Presidents, Grama Panchayath PDOs (Panchayath Development officers) to conduct Baseline survey at adoptive villages

Visit to Varuna Village during Household Survey on 30.11.2021

On 30.11.2021 Dr. Indushekara G V, UBA coordinator, Dr. Doddarasaiah. G, NSS programme Officer, Mr. Siddaraju C S, NSS programme Officer along with 50 NSS volunteers and 5 social work trainees visited Varuna Village and conducted Baseline household Survey for 400 household

On 30.11.2021 afternoon Dr. Indushekara G V, UBA coordinator, Dr. Doddarasaiah. G, NSS programme Officer, Mr. Siddaraju C S, NSS programme Officer along with 50 NSS volunteers and 5 social work trainees visited Pillalli Village and conducted Baseline household Survey for 250 household

House hold survey at Ayaralli Village on 01.12.2021

On 01.12.2021 Dr. Indushekara G V, UBA coordinator, Dr. Doddarasaiah. G, NSS programme Officer, Mr. Siddaraju C S, NSS programme Officer along with 50 NSS volunteers and 5 social work trainees visited Ayarahalli Village and conducted Baseline household Survey for 452 household.

Visit to Mosambayanahalli Village during Household Survey on 02.12.2021

On 02.12.2021 Dr. Indushekara G V, UBA coordinator, Dr. Doddarasaiah. G, NSS programme Officer, Mr. Siddaraju C S, NSS programme Officer along with 50 NSS volunteers and 5 social work trainees visited Mosambayanahalli Village and conducted Baseline household Survey for 300 household.

Visit to Kiralu Village during Household Survey on 02.12.2021

On 02.12.2021 Dr. Indushekara G V, UBA coordinator, Dr. Doddarasaiah. G, NSS programme Officer, Mr. Siddaraju C S, NSS programme Officer along with 50 NSS volunteers and 5 social work trainees visited Mosambayanahalli Village and conducted Baseline household Survey for 286 household.
