The Interactive session was organized with an objective to promote the technological advancement and innovation. Industry collaborations are essential for developing research and a qualified workforce. Interactive session allows students to bridge the gap between theory, practice and gain hands on experience in their chosen field. One of the primary objectives is to develop proficient and well-rounded graduates ready for employment, particularly by industry, through quality education. Given the complexity of business environment; and to match the needs of sustainable competitive edge; it is necessary for both entities to come closer for a productive interface. Therefore, the young minds need to know the requirements of the industries.

A brief profile of the resource persons

Dr. Dharma Prasad

Dr. Dharma Prasad is the founder of Prosetta Biocon formatics Pvt. Ltd., Mysuru and is active in the Life Sciences research. He is active in bringing CII to the academia in and around Mysuru.

Ms. Akshara Kumar

Ms. Akshara kumar is the founder of Truly Essential which houses pure and natural essential oils, cold pressed carrier oils, Aloevera gel and by products of it. She is an Information science engineer (B.E.) from Mysore, India and has started a wellness and kitchen essential brand called Forest Fresh which houses Indian spices for the export and Indian market. She was selected amongst top70-woman entrepreneurs in India for the Goldman sachs 10000 woman program by Indian institute of management Bangalore IIMB, 2019. Akshara Kumar was the Chairperson of CII, Young Indians Mysore 2017-18, an organization which actively works towards nation building, youth leadership and thought leadership.

Mr. S.N.Rao

Mr S. N. Rao is the Chairman and Managing Director of Supreme Pharmaceuticals Mysore Pvt Ltd. Starting his career at Sandoz (I) Ltd (a Swiss Multinational in Mumbai) in their Product Development department, he subsequently worked in various departments before the entrepreneur bug bit him.

The event was a successful with 90 participants among M.Sc. students of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology.
