SBRR Mahajana FGC-PG Wing, Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Education Centre, Department of Social Work in collaboration with Karnataka state youth network, Youth for ecological sustainability (yes) and Rural literacy and health programme (RLHP), Mysuru had organized a vibrant and inspiring National Youth Day Programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a towering figure in Indian history and a beacon of youth empowerment and enlightenment. The event aimed to instill a sense of leadership, innovation, and social responsibility among the youth, echoing Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of fearlessness, strength, and unity.

Event Highlights:

Inauguration Ceremony: The event commenced with a solemn inauguration ceremony graced by esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and enthusiastic students. Chief Guest Mr. Satheesh Methri, Samajika Nyaya Vedike Mysuru delivered an inspiring opening address, emphasizing the significance of youth empowerment in nation-building and societal progress.

Keynote Address: Mr. Jose V.K Secretary, RLHP Mysuru renowned for their expertise in HRD, youth development and leadership, delivered an enlightening speech. He elucidated Swami Vivekananda’s timeless philosophy and its relevance in shaping the aspirations and endeavors of today’s youth. HE emphasized on

  • Harnessing Technology for Social Good

Presidential Address: Dr. C.K Renukarya, Director, PBMMEC, Mysuru delivered the presidential address. He gave an experiences, and strategies to empower the youth to become catalysts of positive change in society. He beautifully elaborated the significance of the day.

Dr. Bhavana V, Asst Prof and Head of Social Work Department introduced the guests and welcomed the gathering while Mrs. Saraswathi, Director RLHP Mysuru rendered the vote of thanks.

A debate competition was organized for the students of PG centre on the topics “Changing lifestyles and environment conservation”. There were 15 participants for the debate. 3students won the prizes along with 2 consolation prizes.

The National Youth Day Programme at PBMMEC was a resounding success, leaving an indelible impact on all attendees. Through insightful discussions, interactive sessions, and inspiring presentations, the event served as a catalyst for igniting the spirit of leadership, innovation, and social responsibility among the youth, in alignment with Swami Vivekananda’s visionary ideals.
