Field visit to Krishi Mela at VC Farm, Mandya

A field visit to the Krishi Mela was organized by the Department of B.Sc. FPQM, as part of Agro Processing Practical, under the guidance of Ms. Srijana M Shekar (Asst Prof), Dr.VN Patel (guest faculty) and Mr. Manohar (Librarian).
The Krishi Mela was held at the VC Farm, Mandya on the 1st of December, 2021. The visit was beneficial to the students in learning about the different types of crops, fertilizers, farm appliances, tools, and seeds among others.
The students also visited the jaggery processing plant, tissue culture and quality control labs at the jaggery processing unit. These visits have helped the students gain practical knowledge about the functioning of jaggery processing units.
