A Report on Interactive Session
“Fostering the Spirit of Entrepreneurship in our Youth”

The Department of Studies in Computer Science organized an Interactive Session on Fostering the spirit of Entrepreneurship in our Youth for the students of II Semester M.C.A & M.Sc(CS), Mysuru on Thursday.
The session started with oration by Dr. Anisha Kumar, Assistant Professor, DoS in Computer Science who welcomed the dignitaries and introduced the two resource persons Mr. Vijayanand Gurudev, Entrepreneur, Desi Cloud and Mr. Sreenidhi G S D, Entrepreneur, Founder and CEO, Cynefian Private Limited.
The resource persons Mr. Vijayanand Gurudev and Mr. Sreenidhi G S D took over the session and started interacting with the students on the following key points:
The Qualities to become an entrepreneur.
- How to do a business in more ethical way?
- First software development in India is TCS
- How to find an opportunity?
- Looking everywhere, understanding the problem is very critical & writing it is important
- “Always try” something new.
- Grants are available for start-ups by the Government, Military Defence provides grants.
- Think differently – identify the opportunity.
- Raise yourself with passion.
- What do you need to become an entrepreneur?
- Find an opportunity
- How to find an opportunity?
- By looking around
- What should drive your mind?
- Understanding the problem and writing down the steps may lead to something else. Then customer requirements are not met. Therefore have a positive attitude and start setting the goal.
- Ministry helps to do start-ups.
- Defence of Ministry gives a grant for about 200 Crores for research and innovation and start a business if it succeeds.
- Important aspects are to think differently and make a value from it.
- We must identify the opportunity and requirements.
- Also identifying the passion is very important to reach the goal.
At the end of the session, Smt. Shruthi Prabhakar, Assistant Professor, DoS in Computer Science thanked the resource persons Mr. Vijayanand Gurudev and Mr. Sreenidhi G S D and concluded the session.
Note: 55 Students from II Sem MCA & 28 students from II Sem M.Sc(CS).
Total 83 Students attended the Interactive Session.
