Department of Studies in Business Administration, PBMMEC, Mysuru organized an International Education Fair visit to III semester MBA students to IDP International Education Fair Mysore which was held in Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Mysore.

Purpose:

The purpose of attending the IDP International Education Fair was to explore study abroad opportunities, gather information about universities and colleges in various countries, and learn about the application process for international education.

Scope:

  • Exploration of Study Abroad Opportunities: The fair featured representatives from universities and colleges from around the world, offering undergraduate, graduate, and pathway programs. I had the opportunity to explore study options in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and more.
  • Information Gathering: Interacting with representatives from different institutions allowed students to gather comprehensive information about their programs, entry requirements, application deadlines, and available scholarships. The representatives provided valuable insights into campus life, accommodation options, and support services for international students.
  • Application Process Guidance: Representatives from IDP and participating institutions conducted seminars and workshops on various topics, including visa application procedures, English language proficiency requirements (such as IELTS), and tips for writing effective personal statements and resumes. These sessions provided practical guidance for navigating the application process smoothly.
  • Networking: Engaging with representatives and fellow attendees provided networking opportunities and facilitated connections with individuals who have similar study abroad aspirations. It was inspiring to hear success stories from international students who have pursued education abroad and to learn from their experiences.

Details of the event

As part of the Education exposure to III Sem MBA students, The Department had arranged International Education Fair visit to 23 students. Students were headed with two faculty members on 26thFebraury 2024.

The 23 students all the streams (Finance, HR, and Marketing) were accompanied by Dr Preethi M and Dr Shashikala SR to IDP Education Fair Mysore which was held in Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Mysore.

IDP Education recently held a “Biggest UK & USA Education Fair” at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Mysore, India, specifically on February 26, 2024. This event aimed to help students explore study abroad opportunities in the UK and the USA.

Target audience

The number of students who were part of industrial visit was 23 students comprising of Finance, Human Resource and Marketing specialization. The Faculty of MBA department accompanied the students.
