Skill Development & Career Orientation

Department of Tourism & Hospitality organized Skill Development & Career Orientation programme for the BBA & MTTM students on 19/7/2019 at Tourism auditorium. The objective was to create awareness to the students about skill development and to know about the service industry needs. Mr.Sujan, Operations Manager & an Alumni of Tourism department addressed students about the significance of skill development and how it will help the students in the interview and in the industrial day to day operations.

Cdr.H.N.Satish, Head (Tourism &Hospitality) moderated this event with question and answer session – Mr. George Jaison, HoD (Hospitality) & Mr.Sujan shared their college life, internship, training and industrial exposure with the students. The question and answer session was really a cutting edge which highlighted the discussion related to time management, grooming, behavior, etiquettes, discipline, attitude and skills related to personal, interpersonal, leadership, interview, entrepreneurship & communications. It is a real challenge for the students of Tourism & Hospitality to bridge the gap between the institution and industry needs. As a nutshell, the event was an eye opener for the students to mould themselves to tap to the requirement of the industry.
