“Understanding the POSH Act – Rights, Responsibilities & Workplace Implementation”
A sensitization session on “Understanding the POSH Act: Rights, Responsibilities & Workplace Implementation” was conducted for the employees of our college by Adv. Rohit Subbayya. The session focused on the key provisions of the POSH Act, the role of the Internal Committee, and the responsibilities of employers and employees in preventing sexual harassment at the workplace.
The speaker also elaborated on the duties of the employer under the POSH Act, including policy formulation, awareness programmes, timely inquiry, and protection against victimization of complainants and witnesses. Practical workplace scenarios were discussed to help participants relate the legal provisions to real-life situations, followed by an interactive question–answer session that enabled staff to clarify their doubts. The session was informative and reinforced the college’s commitment to a safe and respectful work environment.
