Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Education Centre, SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, PG Wing (Autonomous), K.R.S. Road, Metagalli, Mysuru, Department of Studies in Computer Science had organized workshop on ‘Gender Sensitization’ in association with Department of Studies in Social Work for I Semester students of M.C.A & M.Sc. (Computer Science) on 16th & 17th March 2021 at PG Life Science Auditorium.
Mr. Basanth Kumar H B., Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Studies in Computer Science welcomed the resource persons Mrs. Bhavana V and Mrs. Indushekar G V., Asst. Professors of Social Work Department.
The theme of the workshop was:
- Understanding Gender as a social construct.
- Many Forms of Gender Inequalities and Male centric Societies.
- The current affairs on violence against women, Gender inequality, gender disparity in societies.
- Group activities on gender stereotypes and videos presentation.
- The Sexual Harassment of Women in Workplace Act, 2013.
