SEED MONEY FOR RESEARCH
Preamble:
Research is mandatory in the departments offering Master degree programs. In order to support research activities in higher education institutions, both national and state funding agencies have established various schemes to fund research projects that fall into basic and applied research. The funding agencies provide research grants for the faculty based on the merit of the project and the academic credibility of the Principal Investigator.
Taking this into consideration, Mahajana Education Society has made a provision for providing SEED MONEY FOR RESEARCH to promote research activities by the faculty of Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Education Center to enable the faculty to undertake short term research to generate data and publish the findings, which will enhance their academic credibility. These publications will certainly help the faculty to propose research projects to National/State agencies for funding and defend the proposed project when the funding agency shortlists the proposed project.
Procedure for funding:
- The research proposals will be scrutinized by Research Advisory & Ethics Committee (RAEC).
- The RAEC recommended projects will be funded for a period of 12-18 months under the head “Seed Money for Research”.
- MES will release seed money to the RAEC recommended projects in phased manner (Half-yearly).
The faculty provided with seed money has to present report related to financial expenditure and research progress once in 6 months to the RAEC.
