Industrial Visit to Mysore Airport
The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management has organised a one-day industrial visit to Mysore Domestic Airport for the students of the First year, second year, third-year students of Aviation and International Tourism Students and second year students of Master of Tourism and Travel management on 10.12.2021.
We visited the airport at 1.30 pm and we met Mr Manjunath R, Airport Director. He welcomed us and has given a brief introduction about the growth and present status of Mysore Airport and He introduced to Mr. Gaurav, Terminal Manager of Mysore Airport.
Mr. Gaurav has given detailed information about:
- Airport Check-in and Checkout Formalities
- Airport safety and security operation
- Baggage handling Procedure, Screening and tagging
- Customer service and passenger handling
- Ground handling operation
- Airline Ticket Counter,
- Airport Operations
- Air traffic Control (ATC)
- Flight Information display system
- Airport Announcement System
- Fire Department at the Airport etc.
In this Program, nearly 44 students participated from BBA Aviation and International Tourism, BBA Air Travel and MTTM students. The industrial visit was co-ordinated by Dr Satish G Chetty, Head and Mr Manohar, Librarian of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality.
