Organized a Special Talk On “Feel About China

We are glad to organize a special talk on “Feel about China” by Dr.Tian, Professor of University of China on 06/03/2020 between 11.00 a.m to 12.30 p.m in tourism auditorium. Under the guidance of our beloved Director Dr.C.K.Renukarya, Mahajana PG Centre and initiative of Cdr.Satish H.N, Professor and Head, Dept. of Tourism and Hospitality and Dr.Satish G.Chetty, Professor and HoD (Tourism), we were successful in organizing this event. The objective was to know more about China in the context of tourism resourses and to have future plans to sign MoU with China universities for student and faculty exchange programmes.

Cdr.Satish H.N welcomed and briefed about the event followed by guest introduction done by Dr.Satish G. Chetty. The chief guest of the event Dr.Tian delivered a special talk focusing on four core areas of China namely “history, culture, economy and tourism resources”. We came to know about their geographical features, terrain, flora and fauna, historical background of the dynasty and emperors, evolution of China as a country, cultural significance, language, religion, customs, rituals, art and architecture, dance forms, festivals, cuisine, GDP of the nation from AD to till date, major tourist attractions in China which are must to visit at least once in our life.

Special talk was followed by interactive session, the students were more excited with the speech of the chief guest and interacted with him and asked few question related to various aspects of the topic discussed. The students were successful in identifying few similarities between Indian and Chinese culture. The mutual visit both the nation’s president and prime minister and their agreement will bring these nations together and focus a major growth. There are more opportunities for the students to get higher education, student exchange scheme and placements in major sectors of China.
