We are glad to inform you that our department organized an orientation program on “Career Growth in Aviation Industry in India and International Perspective” on 2nd December 2021. The program focused on Career Growth in Aviation Industry. The program started at 11:30 am with the welcome address by Dr Satish Chetty, Head (Tourism & Hospitality). He highlighted that the importance of the Aviation sector also pointed out the challenges and Prospectus due to covid-19. Mr Swaroop student of BBA – Air travel, introduced the chief guest and invited the guest to take over the session.
Mr Manjunath R, Airport Director, expressed sincere gratitude to the management and department taking this initiative. He has highlighted the career opportunities in the Aviation industry, Challenges and trends in this sector and also elucidated the Digital transformation in Airports. The highlight of this programme is that he motivated the students towards career opportunities in the Aviation sector. Furthermore, he shared the experience of how Airports and the Aviation Industry planned for the second wave. He shared his work experience and talked about leadership styles, factors that may influence a good leader and how the leader is managing the teams and challenges in handling the customer queries. He gave several examples of Aviation, Airports automated system and their domains.
During the Q & A Session, students asked relevant questions on the topic and the resource person responded positively.Finally, a Vote of thanks was given by Ms Vyshanavi, a second-year student of Aviation. The whole orientation program was anchored by Ms Leena Mohan Second Year student of Hospitality and all teaching and non teaching staff were participated in this event.
In this Program, nearly 90 students participated from BBA Hotel & Hospitality and BBA Aviation & International Tourism.
