Promotional Campaign – SBRR Mahajana PU College, Mysuru on 23/12/2019

Our tourism and hospitality team visited SBRR Mahajana PU college on 23/12/2019, 2.00 p.m. at Vivekananda hall to address the I& II PU students. Under the noble guidance of our Director Dr.C.K.Renukarya, PBMMEC, PG Centre, Mysuru, the team was headed by  Cdr. Satish H.N (R), Prof.  & Head (Tourism & Hospitality) with both the heads of the departments and four faculty members.

The objective to visit was to drive the students’ passion towards various departments in tourism and hotel sector, to enrich their knowledge with travel related concepts and to make them to know about the significance of information technology in tourism & hospitality industry.

The event commenced with the briefing by Cdr. Satish H.N about “Career opportunities in tourism & hospitality management”. Dr.Satish G.Chetty, HoD (Tourism) addressed the students. He focused on tourism job opportunities available in airline, logistics, travel agency (private & public) and in-bound tourism potentials. Mr.GeorgeJaison, HoD (Hospitality) addressed the students. He shared the about the hotel tie ups, internship, placements and opportunities available in the hotel sector.

Students of I & II PU were divided into four groups for interaction with faculty members related to the objective of the visit and feedback was collected. The details of interactions are listed in the below table.

Our team met the principal Smt.Umarani, SBRR Mahajana PU College and thanked her for the opportunity created for the students to understand their self-interest and to motivate them to dream about their passion and achieve success. We further discussed to organize competitions to the students in our PG Campus to inspire and gain their desire.
