Under the guidance of our beloved Director Dr.C.K.Renukarya, headed by CdrSatish H.N(R), Prof. & Head (Tourism & Hospitality) and with the initiatives taken by Smt.Gunarekha B.S, Asst. Professor we met Prof. Smt.Asha, Principal, MMK & SDM Women’s PU College, Mysuru who was enthusiastic and resourceful provided us an opportunity to for a special talk on“Career opportunities in Tourism & Hospitality Industry” to nearly two hundred II PU commerce students.
The objectives were set exclusively for women students to uniquely motivate, to equip them with job-ready skills and to develop them into a self-directed learner to achieve values.
Cdr.H.N.Satish, addressed the gathering by focusing the plenty of job opportunities in tourism and hospitality sector. Dr.Satish G.Chetty, Prof. &HoD (Tourism) addressed the students by highlighting the significance of travel & tourism sector and advised the students to focus on the various related fields in tourism industry. Smt.Gunarekha B.S, Mr.Srikant, Mr.Vinayakumara and Mr.Kaliyamoorthi interacted with the students and explained about the admission criteria, informed them about the plenty of demand for the program with attractive salary & job assurance further shared the benefits of employees these sector. Ms.Sanjana Kajol from final year tourism shared about her entrepreneurship task and travel services which was started only for women traveler “Iccha Pravasi” and concluded the event by collecting the feedback from the students.
