WORKSHOP ON RESUME BUILDING In association with UNIABROAD

Orientation for Final year & First year MBA students, M.Com students & MSW students.

Department of Studies in Business Administration, PBMMEC, Mysuru hosted a workshop on Resume Building for PG students in association with UNIABROAD, Mysuru on July 10th 2023 in MTA Auditorium. The resource person for the session was Mr. Srinivas Prasad, Destination expert and Branch in Charge of Uniabroad,Mysuru. The purpose of the workshop was to imprint a clear image of the resume to be curated by the Job aspirants to seek a better job and position in the job market. Mr. Srinivas being in connection with various abroad universities and industrieshad a best picture of how an Industry ready resume should be.

Mr. Srinivas emphasized on the contents of resume, flow of information, length of resume and the how different format used to apply for different jobs by highlighting on Do’s and Don’ts to be considered while building the resume.In addition to resume, Mr. Srinivas also gave brief insight about the significance of LinkedIn profile in securing desired job. In recent times, LinkedIn platform gaining more traction as employer prefers to get to know the information about the candidates through it. He also explained on how to design the profile, how to get certification available on LinkedIn & getting recommendations from peers and professionals along with writing cover letter which will be expected by some of the top-notch companies along with resume.

The workshop witnessed core part that isthe Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Prof. Harish Machia Kodandera, HOD, Department of Studies in Business Administration withMr. Srivinas Prasad, Destination expert and Branch in Charge of Uniabroad. The objective of the MoU is to facilitate certification courses to MBA students provided by foreign universities through Uniaabroad. This MoU is made for the beneficial for MBA students. These courses make students more competitive in the job market and get practical exposure of trending industry requirements. The MoU was signed in the presence of faculty of DoS in Business Administration & representatives from Uniabroad. The workshop also evidenced with the students’ interaction with the resource person.
