- Synthesis of Nanocompounds such as 2D Carbon nanotubes and Metal Oxide Materials.
- Water purification from industrial pollutants using photo catalytic material.
- Biomedical applications of carbon nanotubes and metal oxide based composites.
- Material design for the Li ion battery as a anode.
- Novel method development for the construction of supercapacitor using hydrothermal/solvothermal techniques.
- Biofunctionalization/bio-conjugation (with drug delivery) & toxicology studies of nanomaterials.
Doctoral Research:
Title of Doctoral Thesis is “Synthesis, Characterization and Application of Carbonanotube and its Composites”. The thesis includes the synthesis of high quality 2D multiwalled carbon nanotube by Chemical Vapour Deposition Method and cost effective Hydrothermal method. The synthesized 2D nanotubes were analyzed by different advanced analytical instruments such as XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX and DLS methods for the confirmation of Crystalization, Functional groups, nanostructure, elemental percentage and nanosize respectively. Also the synthesized 2D nanotubes were utilized for the investigation of its application such as Water purification by adsorption process and catalyst for photodegradation process.
