Current research interests: Sustainable Finance – Sustainable finance, also known as socially responsible investing, green finance, or ethical investing, refers to financial activities that integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into investment decision-making. The goal of sustainable finance is to generate long-term value for both investors and society while considering the impact of investments on the planet and its inhabitants. Governments, businesses, and investors are increasingly recognizing the importance of sustainable finance as a way to address global
challenges and promote responsible business practices. Regulatory bodies in some regions are developing frameworks and standards to encourage the integration of sustainability considerations into financial decision-making. Sustainable finance can take various forms namely Green Finance, Socially Responsible Investing (SRI), ESG integration, Sustainability bonds, etc. Sustainable finance is a rich and multifaceted research topic that addresses
pressing global challenges, explores financial innovation, and contributes to the development of responsible and resilient financial systems. Sustainable finance research is significant due to its global impact, interdisciplinary nature, and its potential to inform policies, drive innovation, and create positive social and environmental outcomes. In a nutshell, research in the area of sustainable finance plays a crucial role in promoting a more environmentally and socially conscious approach to investing, with the aim of fostering a sustainable and inclusive global economy.
Doctoral Research: Strategic Human Resource Management – With the increase in competition, locally and globally, organizations must become
more adaptable, resilient, agile, and customer-focused to succeed. In order to succeed, HR Professionals must carry out business driven function with a thorough understanding of the organization's big picture and be able to influence key decisions and policies. In this backdrop, the Doctoral Research focused on specific areas like the level of awareness of Strategic Human Resource Management among the HR Professionals viz., HR Managers and HR Consultants (HR Consultancy Services), the extent of implementation of Strategic Human Resource Management and its outcomes, Strategic role played by HR Managers, HR Competencies, Integration of Human Resource Management with the organization objectives, transformation of HR practices into Strategic HR practices. The study carried out to know the inter linkage between three independent variables namely ‘Strategic HR Role’, ‘Strategic Recruitment and Selection’ and ‘HR Competency’ and one dependent variable ‘Integration of HRM with organizational objectives’. Smart PLS software has been used to test the conceptual research model (developed) with the help of Partial Least Square method and resulted with satisfactory level of validity and accuracy which was evidenced with the help of Cronbach’s Alpha, Rho A, Average Variance Extracted and Discriminant validity. The relationship between the variables exhibited strong effect with the values of R Square and F Square. The path was proved to be significant between the independent and dependent variables which was supported by bootstrapping method. It was evident from the research that there is a need to improve the role of HR Professionals and transform HR role into Strategic HR role in order to help organizations to align people processes into business strategies and achieve their strategic goals.
